Plastic Electronics: the challenges for low temperature

manufacturing

The IeMRC and CIKC are holding a one day seminar in Cambridge on March 15th on the

challenges and opportunities for new low temperature manufacturing techniques in

photonics and electronics. Although applications of opto-electronics on plastic are finally

becoming commercial in areas such as displays and RFID, there remain significant technical

and commercial challenges to overcome in order to fulfil the promise of large area, light

weight, flexible and low cost devices. At this seminar, leading speakers from industry and

academia will describe some of the different approaches that have been developed and

illustrate the exciting potential of this rapidly emerging technology.
