In addition to his role as a Lead Consultant with Cirflex Technology, Steve is currently a Project Manager with the International Electronics Manufacturing Initiative (iNEMI), which is an R&D consortium of leading electronics manufacturers, suppliers, associations, government agencies and universities. Previously, Steve was Director of Endicott Interconnect Technologies European subsidiary based in the UK, responsible for business development in Europe for their advanced semiconductor packaging and System-in-Package offerings.

Steve started his career at GEC Marconi Research Laboratories at Gt. Baddow, Chelmsford, after graduating in Applied Physics. At GEC Marconi, he was Divisional Manager of the Printed Circuit Board manufacturing facility from 1980-1990. Steve joined Kam Circuits in 1993 responsible for fabricating MCM-L product for National Semiconductor and Amkor Technology and in parallel coordinating multi-national collaborative research projects for MCM-L development and embedding passive components within PCB structures.

In 1995 he formed Cirflex Technology Ltd a technical and management consultancy providing technical support and business development services for electronic materials, components, capital equipment, software and educational course development. Steve has been  involved with many assignments such as advanced circuit materials and manufacturing processes, laser micro machining and technical due diligence for investment firms.

In 1999 he was awarded a Winston Churchill fellowship to study new and emerging printed circuit and flexible circuit technologies in Japan, USA and Europe, participating in a UK government technical trade mission to Japan. Steve has been a technical evaluator for Enterprise Ireland and has served on the Board of the PCIF (Printed Circuit Interconnection Federation), the Industrial Liaison Committee of the University of Hull and on the IeMRC Industrial Steering Group. Steve is a Past Chairman and Fellow of the Institute of Circuit Technology (ICT) and currently serves on the Council of the ICT as Vice-Chair.
